Jorinde Voigt
Ludwig van Beethoven / Sonaten, 2012
The hand colored pigment prints depict the artist’s perception of divers sonatas by composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Thin black lines represent a timeline and are supplemented by introductions like “Piano” (p), “Forte”(f) or “Crescendo” (cres). After listening to the music again, Jorinde Voigt added impulsive color fields in ink to the printed structure. Each field shows her emotional perception of the music.
