Matt Mullican
Untitled, 2017
In his cosmology Matt Mullican combines color symbolism with a system of pictograms. The artworks turn the mostly static representations of his cosmology into a moving neon light installation. The fluctuation between the elements visualizes the constant shifting of contexts, that objects and subjects are being exposed to, as they change their meanings, going from one field to the other.
