The drawings, paintings, sculptures and installations by German artist Jorinde Voigt almost scientifically try to grasp, what constantly withdraws itself. By translating sound, poetry, movement, perception or time, her large-scale but delicate drawings move us to look closer and experience energetic, however arranged compositions. Voigt’s work has been exhibited at Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, Manifesta 11, Sharjah Biennial, Biennale de Lyon and is held by the collections of Centre Pompidou in Paris, MoMA in New York, and Art Institute of Chicago, among others.
