Henrik Olesen

Henrik Olesen is known for is post conceptual and research based multimedia artworks. Being considered as an important voice of queer post conceptual art, his installations deal with the cultural and social sphere, its norms and thereby its sanctions. In found and assembled objects, texts, collages and posters Olesen reveals and examines structures of power the human body is exposed to. His work has been shown at Kunstmuseum Basel, Museum Ludwig in Cologne, MoMA in New York, Museo Reina Sofía, 32nd São Paulo Biennial, Manifesta 10 and the Istanbul Biennial in 2011.
